Mike and Lorie Lentz have always believed that every child deserves a safe, encouraging, and FUN place to grow. A place where children, parents, teachers, and therapists could work together to achieve extraordinary goals. Determined to meet the needs of every child, Mike and Lorie opened PlayWorks in January 2005.
PlayWorks has grown from one initial occupational therapy client with “Mr. Mike” – to include our professionally staffed preschool and free-standing therapy clinics in Morgantown and Fairmont, West Virginia. PlayWorks Therapies offer occupational, physical, and speech therapies to individuals of all ages and abilities. PlayWorks Preschool has nurtured thousands of children over the years while preparing them for kindergarten and school life.
In our community, PlayWorks is proud to serve as the West Virginia Chair for Variety the Children’s Charity’s “My Bike, My Stroller, and My Voice” Programs. These Variety programs distribute adaptive bikes, adaptive strollers, and communication devices to special needs children completely free of charge. Since partnering with Variety in 2014, PlayWorks has helped facilitate delivery of over 300 bikes, strollers, and communication devices to grateful children and families in West Virginia.
